Pearson nodded with All-Big Eight honors

Mount Carmel freshman Kami Pearson was given the nod as a member of the All-Big Eight Conference team on Wednesday in recognition of her standout season.

MOUNT CARMEL -- The Big Eight Conference released its softball postseason honors, recognizing the ladies on their strong performances throughout the season.

One Mount Carmel girl achieved All-Big Eight honors, freshman Kami Pearson. One of 15 freshmen on a youthful Mount Carmel roster, Pearson helped lead the Lady Aces to a Regional Championship for the first time since 2005. Pearson and the Mount Carmel softball team are positioned for a strong future as they continue to gain experience.
