ATLANTA, Ga. -- A pair of Wabash Valley College Lady Warriors will be headed to Atlanta, Ga. after being selected to play in the NJCAA All-Star Weekend in late July.

The duo, Keya Patton and KK White, each played an integral role on a Wabash Valley College team that finished with an undefeated regular season campaign and were the No. 1 overall seed of the NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball Tournament in March.

Patton and White were selected to the prestigious JUCO Top 40 event by the NJCAA Women's Basketball Coaches Association. The event, which will run from July 20-22 at Clayton State University, recognizes the top 40 returning sophomores in NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball.

South Plains (Texas) was the lone school with three ladies selected to the event, followed by a host of schools, including Wabash Valley College with two. Overall, 31 different institutions had student-athletes selected to the showcase.

Through the course of an incredibly successful freshman campaign for the pair, Patton averaged 12.5 points per game, 5 rebounds per game, 3.4 assists per game and 2.3 steals per game as a regular starter for the Lady Warriors. White started in five games, but mostly served in a sixth man role, though that's like to change this coming season with the departure of wings Dazha Congleton, Jordyn Dawson and Alexis Thomas. The 6-foot Indianapolis native averaged 10.4 ppg, 4 rpg, 2.1 apg and 1.7 spg last season.

Patton earned First Team All-GRAC Conference, First Team All-Region 24, and was a member of the Third Team All-American team. White ranks as the No. 6 ranked to be sophomore JUCO player in the nation.
