Freda Raibley

Freda C. Raibley, 98, of Mount Carmel, Ill., passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Wabash General Hospital.

She was born in Wabash County, March 29, 1922, the daughter of Elmo Ray and Vernice E. (Shepard) Hawf. She married her husband, James Russell Raibley, July 16, 1940 in Henderson, KY. He preceded her in death in 2004.

Freda was a lifelong resident of Wabash County. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was very active in the church community.

Those left to share her memory include her son, Timothy A. and his wife, Janice, of Mt. Carmel; grandchildren, Thad Alan and wife Julie Raibley, Andrea Jill and husband Jonathan Decker; great-grandchildren, Brady Decker and Clare Raibley; siblings, Gene Hawf, and Sally Hawf of Mt. Carmel, and Ron Hawf of Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim of sixty-three years; siblings, Albert, Paul, and Pete Hawf.

There will be a Private Family Memorial Service at Short Funeral Home with burial at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
