Mount Carmel Mayor Joe Judge was extended for his fourth term as chairman of the Greater Wabash Planning Commission Board of Directors.

MOUNT CARMEL — Mount Carmel Mayor Joe Judge was officially extended for his fourth term as chairman of the Greater Wabash Planning Commission Board of Directors.

Judge’s extension was one of several extensions on the Board, including one-year extensions for Rob Anniss, of Richland County, who will continue serving as Vice-Chairman; Scott Merkle, of Wayne County, who will continue as Secretary; and Randy Hallam, of Edwards County, who will continue serving as Commission Treasurer.

The GWRPC Board of Directors oversees seven member counties in Southern Illinois, Crawford, Edwards, Lawrence, Richland, Wabash, Wayne, and White.

Its mission is to serve the Greater Wabash District by providing local, regional, and comprehensive planning, facilitating knowledge enhancement, securing and administering funds and promoting cooperative solutions to regional issues.
