ROBINSON — Mount Carmel junior Rylie Webb scored 19 points to highlight a crop of four Lady Aces who scored in double-figures as Mount Carmel routed Robinson 66-38 on Tuesday night.
It was an important game for the Lady Aces (17-4), who were looking to bounce back from a tough loss to Teutopolis this past weekend.
Junior Allie McPherson and senior Kassidy Drone helped polevault a fast start for the Lady Aces, as the tandem combined for 15 of Mount Carmel’s 24 points in the first quarter. They maintained a dominating 24-7 lead after the first quarter.

the frame to push the Mount Carmel lead to 42-19 at halftime.
Then in the second half, it was junior Maya Smith who came on strong, scoring 11 points after the break to preserve the rout and give Mount Carmel a dominant victory.
The other three double-digit scorers for the Lady Aces were Smith with 14 points and McPherson and Drone with 12 a piece respectively. Robinson was led by junior Bailey Straugh, who scored a game-high 20 points for the Lady Maroons.
Now with a 17-4 record, Mount Carmel will return home to the friendly confines of the Hilltop on Thursday for a matchup against Washington, a former Big Eight foe, prior to enduring a tough upcoming road slate.
Thursday’s contest against Washington is set to tip-off with the JV teams at 5:30 p.m.
