ALLENDALE ― The Allendale/St. Mary's varsity boys and girls cross country teams placed second in a meet the Yellow Jackets hosted Monday.

Olney St. Joseph won the boys (21 points) and girls (21 points) team championships, while the A/SM boys (62) and girls (44) were the runners-up. Fairfield had 63 points in the varsity girls race.

Gehrig Jones (third, 12:43), Kollin Kelsey (11th, 14:35), Carlos Monroy (15th, 15:30), Alex McGinnis (16th, 15:47), J.D. Bowser (17th, 18:38), Trentin Hulfachor (18th, 19:39), Roland Foster (19th, 22:06) and Wyatt Gher (20th, 22:40) competed in the boys race for the Yellow Jackets.

Lily Keepes (fourth, 14:59), Nora Jones (fifth, 15:01), Madelyn Young (seventh, 15:30), Joleigh Keeling (13th, 17:51) and Holly Lofton (15th, 18:03) competed in the girls race for the Yellow Jackets.

Olney St. Joseph swept the junior varsity races.

Kali Walker (third, 10:34), Hallie Courter (sixth, 10:51), Elizabeth Hefner (seventh, 11:11), Anna Gill (10th, 13:23), Madison Stevens 12th, 13:43) and Lexi Stevens (14th, 14:23) helped the Yellow Jackets junior varsity girls team place second.

Allendale/St. Mary's competes at Olney on Thursday.
