Aces senior Rager named to All-Big Eight team

MOUNT CARMEL -- Mount Carmel boys basketball ended its season in the Vandalia Sectionals on Feb. 27 with their 47-37 loss to Teutopolis, ending the careers of the Mount Carmel seniors.

One of the Mount Carmel seniors, Austin Rager was recognized for his fantastic senior campaign on Wednesday afternoon with his naming to the All-Big Eight Boys Basketball team.

Rager averaged over 20 points per game to lead the Aces to a 14-16 record and a 2-4 conference record. He was the lone Ace represented on the team.

Joining Rager on the team, Ben Meier from Boonville, Jared Englert from Jasper, Jackson Kabrick from Jasper, Matt and Zach Dove from Princeton, Stephan Wilkerson from Princeton, Isaac Lane from Vincennes, Grant Niehaus from Washington and Tyson Wright from Washington.
