Beatrice E. “Bea” (Timberlake) Bailey, 75, of Albion, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 11, 2017, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Feb. 3, 1942, in Keensburg, the daughter of William R. and Clara (Walker) Timberlake. Bea married Earl Bailey and he preceded her in death on March 4, 2006.
Bea was a loving wife, mother and grandmother where her passions included spending time with her family and being a devoted homemaker. She loved to cook and bake for those close to her. Sunday and Holiday dinners was always a very special time for her to have her family all together.
She also enjoyed spending time in the kitchen baking wedding and birthday cakes for family and friends. Bea spent many years as a den mother for Boy Scouts where she was a positive role model for all scouts.
Bea worked at Bailey Truck & Auto and also at Knapp Mart in Albion where she made many friendships. She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church in Albion, and also attended First Christian Church in Browns with her daughter, Sissy. Bea will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
Bea will be remembered by her daughter, Candace “Sissy” (Glen) Iles of Browns; son, Tim (April) Bailey of Grayville; grandchildren, Lance York, Whitney Hocking, Tabitha York and Max Bailey; great-grandchildren, Mya, Noah, Viviana, Xander and Maddox; brothers, Roy (Alma) Timberlake of Keensburg and Norman (Louise) Timberlake of Cowling; along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Bea was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl Bailey; infant son, Lance Bailey; brothers, Joe Timberlake and John Timberlake; and sisters, Betty Kerley and Doris Hatthorn.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, June 16, 2017, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home with Rev. Rowe and Pastor Brad Garner officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery where Bea will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Earl Bailey.
Family and friends are invited to gather from 1 to 3 p.m., Friday, June 16, 2017, at the funeral home.
