MOUNT CARMEL — The funeral service for Larry Edwin Peterson at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017 at the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ. Pastors Jim and Jackie Summers conducted the service. It included prayer, scripture readings, eulogy, message and reading the poem "The Best is Yet to Come." Marilyn Hocking played music throughout the service. Alisa Gidcumb, Larry’s daughter, opened the service playing on keyboard “The Entertainer” at her father’s request. The congregation sang “Borning Cry.” Charlotte Bronte read the poem Reflect from Jane Eyre. Jon Mayhue sang “He Turned Water Into Wine” and Barry Robert sang “Because He Lives.” To conclude the service, Marilyn Hocking played “Save the Last Dance for Me,” Larry and Rosanna’s “song.”

Honorary pallbearers were Neale Shaw, Calvin Seybold, Fred Xanders, Jack Singer, Bill Beesley, Wilbur Brown, Bill Jung, Greg Brummett, Kim More, Andrew Leeper, Craig Leeper and Tyler Baggett.
