VINCENNES , Ind. – Kathryn (Kay) Woods, 94, of Vincennes, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday July 7, 2018. She was born Aug. 8, 1923, in Friendsville, the daughter of Clyde and Nellie (Price) Miller.

Kay married Raymond E. Woods on Sept. 16, 1944, in Mount Carmel. She graduated from high school in Mount Carmel and graduated from Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing on Oct. 6, 1944. She retired from nursing after twenty-nine years. After retirement Kay and her husband moved to Florida. They loved to travel and play golf. While in Vincennes Kay loved to listen to her books on tape from the state library. She was a member of the Word of Life Christian Church in Bicknell.

Those who are cherishing her memory are sister, Maxine Dean; niece, Bonnie Dean with whom she made her home; nieces; Barbara (Gerald) Stanley, Beverly Simone, Taylor (Ian) Bryce; nephews, Steve (Cathy) Miller, Dr. Edward (George Ann) Miller; Dr. David (Barbara) Miller. Her special friends Wanda Throgmorton and four legged buddies Abby and Molly. Those greeting her in Heaven are, husband Raymond, her parents; brothers; Dr. Kermitt Miller and Lloyd Miller; niece Kathy Dean.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. eastern time Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Highland Cemetery in Mt. Carmel. Procession to the cemetery for funeral services we will begin at 1 p.m. from Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN. Pastor John Moreland will be officiating graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Word of Life Church Bicknell, IN or the Vincennes Pet Port. On line condolences may be sent to Kays family and friends at www.goodwinfamilyfh.com.
