MOUNT CARMEL — Chris A. Seibert, 54, of Mount Carmel passed away Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017 at home. He was born on Nov. 4, 1963 in Wabash County, the son of Ted and Margaret (Wellerman) Seibert. Chris enjoyed volunteering at the Mission of Hope in Mount Carmel. He was very helpful to his family and friends when they needed a lending hand. He enjoyed being outdoors, bicycling and weight lifting. His daughter and grandchildren were the light of his life and he loved them deeply. Chris was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He will be dearly missed. Chris will be remembered by his mother, Margaret Seibert; daughter, Andrea Seibert; son, Chris Shelby; grandchildren, Bryleigh Byrns, Kreg Lofton, Maelei Jo Sims, Morgan Shelby, Christopher Shelby and Arian Shelby; brothers, Tim Seibert of St. Simon’s Island, Georgia, Michael (Becky) Seibert and Jason Seibert all of Mount Carmel; nieces, Alicia Seibert, Lindsey Seibert, Emily Seibert; nephew, Trent (Shaintaile) Seibert; one great-niece; one great-nephew; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Chris was preceded in death by his father, Ted Seibert. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Monday, Nov. 20, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Robert Zwilling officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Chris’ memory to The Rocket’s Foundation, P.O. Box 56, Mount Carmel, Illinois 62863.
