CHAPEL HILL, Tenn. — Charles L. Hayden, 83, of Chapel Hill, Tennessee passed away peacefully Feb. 25, 2018 in Columbia, Tennessee.
He was born on Sept. 11, 1934 in Vincennes, Indiana, the son of Ann (Hayden) Davis. Charles married Delpha (Moutray) Hayden on Sept. 23, 1955 in Mount Carmel, and together they enjoyed 62 years of marriage.
Charles was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved being outdoors fishing and camping with his family. He grandchildren were very special to him and he always enjoyed his visits with them. Charles faithfully served his Country in the United States Marine Corps. He will be missed by his family and all who knew him.
Charles will be remembered by his loving wife, Delpha Hayden of Chapel Hill; his children, Terry Hayden of Mount Carmel, and Lisa Hayden of Chapel Hill; three grandchildren, Cory, Jason and Jeremy Hayden; four great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Avery, Trevor and Levi; sister, Gail Ash of Oakland City, Indiana; along with several cousins.
Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Ann (Hayden) Davis; aunts, Ruth Davis and Katherine Durham; uncles, Delbert Hayden, Glenn Hayden and Kenneth Hayden.
A Memorial service is at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 17, 2018 in the chapel of Keepes Funeral Home. Memorial visitation is from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the funeral home.
