Wabash County raises Illinois Bicentennial Flag

The Wabash County Commissioners held a ceremony on Monday for the raising of the State of Illinois Bicentennial Flag. Commissioners read a proclamation for the year long celebration. Illinois became a state 200 years ago, on Dec. 3, 1818. The Illinois Bicentennial is a year-long celebration and citizens are encouraged to participate in the celebration by visiting www.illinois200.com and using the hashtag #IllinoisProud.
